Whenever a parent asks me where my children go to preschool, I explode with enthusiasm and great memories about Gingerbread Cottage Preschool. My oldest son loved Gingerbread Cottage Preschool for three years, and my three year old son adores it now. My sons have loved the cool artwork, their fantastic teachers, a wonderful playground, and making many new friends. As a mom, I have loved knowing that my children are in a very friendly, safe, clean, and organized environment. While being stimulated by extremely creative teachers and staff who obviously love children, my oldest son learned colors, numbers, shapes, letters, how to write his name, and so much more. Most importantly, they have both gained social skills and a self confidence to carry with them to elementary school. There is no way that my oldest son would have adjusted so well to kindergarten this year without the positive influence of Gingerbread Cottage Preschool. It is simply the BEST!

     Years ago, as we selected a preschool for our first son, we were looking for a place that would welcome him warmly. We wanted teachers that would strive to know and nurture him, classmates that would become his friends, and a school that we could drive away from (with an empty car seat) without reservation.

     Gingerbread Cottage Preschool exceeded those expectations for two of our three sons, and our third son will begin this fall. The teachers have known and nurtured our sons as we hoped, observing them with keen insights. Classmates have become friends, with all the giggles, play dates, and birthday parties we'd envisioned. And the school continues to be a place we trust.

     As an added bonus, learning occurs. Though it is deliberate on the teachers' parts, it appears accidental to the children. They bake apple cookies in the kitchen for a special treat and happen to learn measuring. They dance the Macarena to a "Months of the Year" song, and the knowledge is absorbed. An understanding puppet explains her feelings, and the children bring home interpersonal skills ("Stop. Think. What's the problem?"). In the midst of all the fun, learning prevails.

     So far, the only tears shed in our house over Gingerbread Cottage have been mine on the last days. Our kids jump out of the car to go without looking back. And as we prepare to send our youngest next year, we are thrilled for all he will encounter.

     Gingerbread Cottage Preschool is what I call "the perfect little preschool"! My girls loved going to school there. What I most like about the program is that the children have a lot of time to play and learn through their play. It is cozy and inviting and the staff is the best you can find! The school is very organized and planned which makes it easy for students and parents to enjoy the many special activities that they offer. We will never forget the precious memories of Gingerbread Cottage!

     The Gingerbread Cottage has provided a very nurturing environment for my daughters over the past four years. The entire staff is very loving and caring toward each child. The happy and safe surroundings that the staff creates have helped my children become accustomed to the classroom setting, have provided a very positive and creative learning experience for my children, and successfully prepared them for their next step to kindergarten.

Everyday is a good day at the Gingerbread Cottage!

     My children have attended The Gingerbread Cottage Preschool for the last five years and there aren't enough nice things I can say about the school. It has been a nurturing and loving place for my children to grow and learn. I feel that my children received the individual attention that each of them needed to excel in their own way. My first grader is well adjusted socially and succeeding academically and my youngest is more than ready and excited to start kindergarten in the fall! The teachers and staff are enthusiastic and caring and work hard to develop a safe and creative environment for all the children. I can honestly say I have never heard, "I don't want to go to school" and after seeing all the fun and exciting things that are in store for them each day I can see why.

     As soon as I walked into Gingerbread Cottage I knew it was the perfect school for my son. The professional and caring nature of the entire staff has made my son's preschool experience a positive one from the begining. Not a day has gone by that he hasn't had a big smile on his face when he gets in the car. I am confident that his transition to kindergarten will go smoothly because GBC has done a fine job preparing him both academically and socially. It is hard for me to believe that he will be moving on from GBC to kindergarten this fall. Time truly does fly! Next year my daughter will start GBC and she cannot wait!!

The Gingerbread Cottage Preschool is a wonderful school, full of caring and devoted educators. Not only do they provide a safe , warm, and fun environment, but they also focus on the social and educational development of each and every child. I cannot imagine a better fit for my family.      My daughter attended Gingerbread Cottage for three years. The staff not only prepared her for kindergarten academically but emotionally as well. They were there to hold her hand (and mine) through the first few bumpy weeks and any other tough times along the way. The entire staff knows every child and parent by name. My son will be starting in the fall and I know there will always be hugs waiting for him if he needs them.

I know when I drop off my son at Gingerbread Cottage, that he is in a safe, caring environment where he is comfortable being himself and enjoys learning!
